Definitely a hotel I’d consider staying at again if we return to Sarasota. The valets were nice & got to recognize us & talked to us every day, asked what we were planning & gave us suggestions. The exercise room had plenty of machines & space to workout. The lobby is nice & open with a bar that appeared popular. Our room was very spacious with plenty of space for the 3 of us (& could add a 4th with no problem). It is also an easy car ride (10-30 minutes depending on traffic) from at least 4 beaches as well as other restaurants. It is only 2 short blocks from the waterfront marina & park (a couple good restaurants there, boats & park activities) & is within easy walking distance of many very good restaurants, shopping & grocery stores. What this hotel does have going for it is it’s location in a different way. It isn’t on the beach & while nice, the pool is pretty standard as far as hotel pools. I want to start by saying I knew this wasn’t a “resort hotel” when I made our reservation. The BBQ grill out back is a wonderful touch, and allows you to save some money by cooking dinner right at your accommodation. I can't say enough positives about this property - and there's been no problems with water pressure or the WiFi connectivity. It has been a blessing to come across this place, that is pet-friendly, and the staff all make you feel welcome. They even have a few rooms with whirlpools if you really want to treat yourself. ![]() They sell out on the weekends, so be sure to make your booking early. I am a licensed clinician and have traveled a lot around the country and this is one of my favorite Choice properties. I have felt very welcome, as has my dog Bruce Wayne. I am on an extended stay, as I apply and interview for jobs back in Colorado, and my car is even being transported out to here. Housekeeping is wonderful and full of life and a passion for their job. If your room is not ready yet, you are welcome to sit in their lounge, connect to WiFi, or even enjoy yourself by the pool (towels provided) - they even have a hot tub, and the ability to help disabled individuals into the pool. This place is truly a home away from home. ![]() Their front desk staff if wonderful - Pedro makes you feel welcome and at home, no matter your background or how long your stay is. They have a full breakfast, with eggs, a protein, as well as a stir-fry starch - with all the regular offerings such as yogurt, pastries, an assortment of juices, and fresh coffee at the touch of a button. ![]() With everyone coming out of the pandemic and beginning to travel again this hotel is above and beyond expectations, speaking as a previous Courtyard by Marriott in Glenwood Springs, CO.
